Welcome to All!

From The Desk of Doc Tyler

Hi my name is Ralph Wildermuth, better known as “Doc Tyler”, the Executive Producer for Revelry Productions, a joint venture between Michael and myself.

The goal of this blog is to capture a glimpse into the life and times of Michael Grande as he grew up in Brooklyn and his adventures since then.

Where do you start? That is the problem of the day. Michael Grande’s trip from the backroom of his family’s carpet store in Brooklyn, NY to the stages of some of the finest halls and auditoriums of the world, is truly an amazing one. This will have to be a multi-part series as there is no way to tell this story in a short article. It more properly deserves to be amassed into a book. But, alas.

Before we take a glimpse into Michael’s tour, I guess I should tell you how I come into this mix.

I met Michael when he moved to the Sierra Vista, Arizona area from Scottsdale, AZ. At the time, Michael was continuing on his musical tour, while his wife, Diane, was heavily into the champion Arabian horse business. I and my other adopted brother, Sherrill, were also into the horse world and we ran into each other when they first moved to Sierra Vista.

I had never heard of Michael Grande as a recording artist nor heard any of his songs. I went to one of his concerts at the Arizona Folklore Preserve, founded by Dolan Ellis, one of the original members of the New Christy Minstrels and  the Official Arizona State Balladeer. I was hooked.  Eventually, this concert became the start of a long professional , as well as a personal relationship, that I am proud to be a part of. I can truly call my relationship with Michael and Diane the “The Three Amigos”. They are family to me and now I have another “brother” and a “sister” to boot. As things progressed, I became the Executive Producer for Revelry Productions, the parent organization for all of Michael’s music, albums and more to come. That was 14 years ago and a lot has happened since then.

Stay tuned as I have more to tell you about Michael's amazing adventure in upcoming posts. Thank you for being part of our history.
